BARAMULLA: Continuing its sustained efforts to curb substance abuse and strengthen preventive action against the drug menace, Police in Baramulla conducted a wild cannabis destruction drive at Saderbal Palhalan, in coordination with the Sports Association Palhalan.
During the drive, wild cannabis growing alongside the National Highway over approximately 01 kanal of State land was identified and destroyed. The action was aimed at preventing the illegal use of the wild growth and reducing the availability of potential sources of substance abuse in the area.
The joint initiative reflects the importance of community participation in the fight against drugs. J&K Police remains committed to intensifying preventive measures and enforcement action against drug-related activities while encouraging local communities, youth and civil society organisations to actively support the mission for a safer and drug-free society.
