KISHTWAR: SANKALP: Hub for Empowerment of Women (HEW) today organised a Special Awareness Program at Health Centre Melan focusing on menstrual hygiene for enhanced reproductive health. The SANKALP-HEW team emphasized that it is crucial to prioritise awareness when it comes to menstrual health, not only for women but for society as a whole. The team emphasised that the purpose of these camps is to impart awareness to women about essential health check-ups for various health issues.

The Sankalp team also focussed on educating women about important health topics such as contraceptive methods, family planning, urinary tract infections (UTIs), menstrual hygiene and adolescent health. Besides, the participants were also educated about various women centric schemes. At the end, Sankalp HEW distributed free sanitary pads to promote menstrual health and hygiene among women.
