BHADERWAH: An Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Programme under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) was organised today at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Bhaderwah by the Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with other line departments. The event aimed at sensitising students to the harmful effects of substance abuse and motivating them to adopt a healthy, disciplined and drug-free lifestyle.
The programme witnessed the participation of representatives from the Departments of Education, Social Welfare, Health, JKNRLM and Police. The teaching faculty and officials from the participating departments imparted detailed awareness to the students regarding devastating consequences of substance abuse.
The programme concluded with the administration of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Pledge. The participants resolved to spread awareness against substance abuse within their communities.
