JAMMU: As part of their academic exposure and experiential learning, the B.A. B.Ed Integrated students of Central University of Jammu, undertook an educational visit to the Government College of Education (GCOE), JammuSchool of Education, Cluster University of Jammuand the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Jammu. The visit was organized to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical understanding of the teacher education system and institutional frameworks in Jammu and Kashmir.

At GCOE Jammu, students interacted with faculty members and were given insights into the institution’s long-standing contributions to teacher education in the region. They were also briefed on modern pedagogical approaches, digital learning tools, and classroom management strategies.

The visit to the School of Education, Cluster University of Jammu provided the students with a deeper understanding of the structure and functioning of a School of Education, Cluster University of Jammu.  Faculty of School of Education, Cluster University of Jammu addressed the students on the integrated approach of Teacher education, curriculum development, and research opportunities provided by them.

During their visit to DIET Jammu, the students were acquainted with the role of DIET in improving the quality of elementary education, in-service teacher training, and community engagement in educational planning. Officials shared valuable information on ongoing projects, training modules, and assessment techniques used at the district level.

The students actively participated in interactive sessions and expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to gain practical insights into the operations and objectives of these premier institutions. Such educational visits play a crucial role in broadening the professional outlook of future educators and equipping them with necessary pedagogical and administrative awareness.

A total of 60 students of B.A. B.Ed integrated VIIth semester took part in the visit. This initiative reflects the vision of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu, Prof. Sanjeev Jain and aligns closely with the goals of N.C.T.E. The visit was coordinated by Dr. Mohan Galgotra, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Ravail Parihar, Assistant Professor, under the supervision of Prof. Asit K Mantry, Head, Department of Educational Studies, Central University of Jammu.
