JAMMU: In a significant step toward youth empowerment and career advancement, Desh Bhagat University (DBU), Mandi Gobindgarh Punjab, in association with Cluster University of Jammu, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Jammu and the Nations Development Association (NDA), is set to host the 71th Mega Job Fair 2025 on June 23, 2025, at Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor of DBU, emphasized the university’s mission to strengthen industry-academia collaboration for sustainable skill development. Sushil Singh Charak, Chief Functionary of NDA, stated that the event will bring together 50+ reputed companies, including Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Nutraj, Anmol Healthcare, Hyundai, Nissan, Sun Pharma, Jamkash Vehicles, Zeiss, LIC, SBI Life, Himalaya, Hero, The Shri Ram Universal School,MV International School, Shemford Futuristic School and others. These companies will offer over 5000 job opportunities across technical and non-technical sectors, with the highest package reaching 8 lakh per annum.
He further added that NIELIT Jammu has also joined hands by facilitating the participation of its students in the job fair, thereby significantly enhancing the outreach and impact of this large-scale employment initiative.
The fair will be graced by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Shri Manoj Sinha, as Chief Guest. Shri Shantmanu (IAS), Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education Department, J&K, will also visit the venue to interact with employers and candidates.
Dr. Sandeep Singh, President of Desh Bhagat University, expressed pride in the university's role in facilitating such a dynamic recruitment platform and reaffirmed DBU’s commitment to bridging the gap between education and employment.
Ms. Pooja Kathuria, Head of Placements at DBU, will coordinate on-ground operations to ensure a seamless experience for both recruiters and participants. The Mega Job Fair 2025 is open to students, graduates, and job seekers from all institutions and will commence at 9:00 AM on June 23, 2025.
