This significant development was announced by Medical Superintendent Dr. Masrat Iqbal Wani, who highlighted the initiative's potential to provide uninterrupted diagnostic services, thereby eliminating the need for patients to travel to Srinagar during night hours.
"This initiative will greatly benefit the residents of Bandipora, reduce the pressure on tertiary care hospitals, and ensure that patients receive timely and effective medical care," said Dr. Wani. Adding to the milestone, DH Bandipora is also set to launch Contrast CT scans, a first for the district. This advanced diagnostic service will enable more precise and detailed imaging, catering to a wide range of medical needs. A qualified radiologist will be available for on-the-spot reporting and diagnosis, ensuring prompt and accurate medical assessments.
Dr. Wani also revealed that the hospital conducted 2,062 CT scans during daytime alone in the current financial year. With the launch of the 24x7 facility, this number is expected to increase significantly as the service will now be available during the night as well.
