DODA: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Harvinder Singh conducted a surprise inspection of the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bhaderwah to review the status of healthcare facilities and patient care services.
The Deputy Commissioner checked patient wards, staff attendance, emergency services, medical stores and the attendantsā rest room to assess the availability, accessibility and quality of healthcare services being provided to the public. He also interacted with patients and their attendants to obtain first-hand feedback regarding treatment and hospital facilities.
The DC Doda emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and effective queue management within the hospital premises. He called for strengthening the help desk mechanism to ensure better patient facilitation and smooth service delivery. The safety and security measures in place for medical staff were also assessed during the visit.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the hospital administration to ensure adequate heating arrangements in all wards for patients. He also stressed on providing regular follow-up to pregnant women during the winter season to ensure timely medical care and prevent any complications.
Taking feedback from the Block Medical Officer (BMO), the Deputy Commissioner instructed him to maintain high hygiene standards across all sections of the hospital. He further stressed timely disposal of biomedical waste, proper upkeep of critical care units and continuous monitoring of essential services to ensure quality healthcare delivery.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officials to take immediate corrective measures to address the shortcomings observed during the inspection and ensure that hospital services and infrastructure are maintained as per the prescribed norms.
