RAJOURI: In a significant step towards promotion of Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan, training programmes were organised today for Resource Persons here at Nowshera and Sunderbani. At Nowshera, Additional Deputy Commissioner Babu Ram Tandon emphasized the need for quality training and urged resource persons to actively contribute in raising awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse. He interacted with the participants and responded to their queries during a dedicated question-answer session.
A similar training program was held in Sunderbani, where employees from government departments took part. Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Magotra was also present on the occasion. Head of the Department of Psychiatry, Dr. Parvez Alam was the key speaker. He provided valuable insights into the psychological and social impact of drug abuse. He also discussed preventive measures and strategies for rehabilitation of those struggling with drug addiction.
Similar training programs shall be organized in every nook and corner of the district. The initiative aims to ensure widespread awareness and community participation in making Rajouri a drug-free district.
