SRINAGAR: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (YSS) J&K observed Constitution Day across the Union Territory (UT) of J&K. The day was marked by a series of events and activities organized at various levels, highlighting the significance of the Indian Constitution and its core values.
The main event took place at the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports, Sports Complex, Jammu, where the Director General of the Department, Rajinder Singh Tara, along with the employees of the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports, recited the Preamble of the Indian Constitution. Speaking on the occasion, the Director General emphasized the importance of upholding the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity enshrined in the Constitution. He encouraged the employees to imbibe these values in their professional and personal lives.
In addition to the central event in Jammu, similar programs were organized at district and zonal levels under the guidance of the officers and officials of the Department. These events saw active participation from staff members, students, and local youth, ensuring the message of the Constitution reaches every corner of the Union Territory.
