SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Baseer Ahmed Khan today chaired a meeting to review Dal and Nigeen lakes conservation plan and status of ongoing developmental works under Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA). The meeting discussed various aspects of Dal and Nigeen lakes conservation, management and rehabilitation plan under National Lake Conservation Programme.
While reviewing the progress of shifting of houseboats to Dole Demb area, he directed the concerned officers to ensure timely completion of all the developmental works. He directed officers of LAWDA to continue with its anti-encroachment drive and assured them of all possible support. The meeting was informed about the status of ongoing construction of drain in the Leper Colony, Srinagar, which shall be completed by the first week of March. Besides, the meeting also took stock of development of Rakh-i-Arth Housing Colony and construction of new STPs. Among others, the meeting was attended by VC LAWDA, Collector LAWDA and other concerned officers.
