UDHAMPUR: Gool Tehsil of Ramban district is a remote and hilly area which lacks basic medical facilities in the region. There is an approximate population of 15000 in Gool and the surrounding villages. To address the much-needed medical care and provide specialised medical facilities to the locals of Gool area, Indian Army is organising a multi-speciality medical camp at Government School, Gool on 19 January 2019.
The medical camp will have medical specialists including Physician, ENT, Ophthalmologist, Orthopedician, Surgeon, Gynecologist (Lady), Pediatrician, Radiologist, Physiotherapist and Dental Surgeon, who will examine the patients for Diabetes, Hypertension, Bronchial Asthma, Anemia, Nutritional Deficiencies, Hearing Problems, Cataract, Gynecological Problems and Dental related diseases besides carrying out Pathology & Radiology investigations if required.
“In the prevailing circumstances, this is a very important event for the entire Gool block as have been facing acute shortage of medical facilities and the initiatives taken by the Army is a welcome step and will surely provide much relief to the local population”, said a prominent citizen of the Gool area.
