JAMMU: IIM Jammu and the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTR), Chennai, are happy to announce that IIM Jammu has been designated as the nodal institute for Yuva Sangam Phase V, a student exchange programme under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) initiative. This significant program aims to foster empathy and strengthen people-to-people connections between the youth of Jammu & Kashmir and Chennai. Through this initiative, students will have the opportunity to build stronger national bonds while appreciating the diversity and richness of India's cultural fabric.
As part of Yuva Sangam Phase V, students will gain multi-dimensional exposure across five key areas: Paryatan (Tourism), Parampara (Traditions), Pragati (Development), Paraspar Sampark (People-to-People Connect), and Prodyogiki (Technology).

Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, emphasized the significance of the program, noting that the Yuva Sangam Phase V, initiative under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat offers a remarkable platform for youth to explore and experience the diversity of the nation. He highlighted that it helps build strong connections across cultures, which are essential for fostering a sense of unity and national pride. He expressed that IIM Jammu is proud to be part of this transformative journey and looks forward to empowering young minds through the exchange program.
IIM Jammu will serve as the nodal institute responsible for selecting students from Jammu& Kashmir. These students will embark on a weeklong immersive experience at NITTR Chennai, where they will explore the southern region, interact with local communities, and engage with the rich art, culture, and traditions of the state. Similarly, students from NITTR Chennai will visit Jammu, gaining exposure to the northern region’s heritage, development initiatives, and technological advancements.
The last date for online registration is October 21, 2024. Selection will be based on the criteria set by the Government of India, from among those who register through the portal.Details, about the travel itinerary and visit dates will be shared with the selected candidates.
