SRINAGAR: Kashmir beams with pride as Kabra Altaf achieves the prestigious Ni Dan (Second-Degree Black Belt) in Judo, marking a historic milestone in her remarkable sporting journey.

Kabra has already etched her name in history as the first SAI-accredited female Judo coach from Kashmir and the first female gold medalist in Judo from the Valley. With numerous national medals and awards to her credit, participation as an India camper, and training at some of the country’s most prestigious institutes, she has established herself as one of the most accomplished and respected judokas from the region.

Her excellence has been recognized with the State Award in Judo, making her the first judoka from Kashmir judo to receive this honor. She continues to raise the bar by pursuing Level Coaching Certification from the International Judo Federation (IJF), further strengthening her role as both an athlete and a coach of global standards.

She secured this latest achievement by successfully clearing her Ni Dan examinations in New Delhi, organized by the Judo Federation of India. This landmark accomplishment adds yet another feather to her illustrious career and stands as a shining inspiration for young athletes, especially women, to dream big and achieve excellence in martial arts.
