JAMMU: An International Art Exhibition was inaugurated at Modern Art Gallery of International Roerich Memorial Trust (IRMT), Naggar in Kullu (HP). Sh. Ramesh Chander, Indian Curator and Mr. Dmitry Surgin, Assistant Russian Curator jointly inaugurated the Exhibition in the presence of senior artists like Jang S. Verman (Jammu), Prabhinder Lall and Jaskanwal Jit Kaur (Chandigarh) and Sankati Mitra (Kolkata).

The exhibition has been organized by IRMT in collaboration with ArtFort India (Chandigarh) and Verman Cultural Celebrations (Jammu). The art works of twenty six artists from India, Sweden, South Korea and Vietnam have been put on displayed in the International Art Exhibition. Art works depicting various themes and in different mediums leave their impact on the viewers. According to Sh. Rames Chander, ‘The purpose of organizing such events is to broaden the horizon of creative activities across the borders.’ He appreciated the contribution of the artists hailing from different parts of the world.

The art vworks of the followimg artists have been displayed in the show: Dr. Clemens (South Korea), Anita Elgerot, Naemi Bure and Gunilla Lofgren (Sweden), Thu Suong Vo (Veitmnam), Jang S. Verman, Mehak Sharma, Nidhi and Ranju Kumari (Jammu), Renu Bala (Pathankot), Prabhinder Lall, Jaskanwal Jit Kaur, Dr. Suneet Madan and Neeti Joshi (Chandigarh), Manmadha Rao (AP), Roma Bahl (Lucknow), Mahmood Ahmad, Shyam Sharma and Hardeep Siera (New Delhi), Dr. Meenakshi Bharti (Jaipur), Sonam Sikarwar (Bhopal), Indrani Acharya and Sankari Mitra (Kolkata), Nijeena Neelambabram (Kerala) and Raghu Neware (Nagpur).  A three days’ All India Painters’ Camp was also started on this occasion Jang S. Verman, Prabhinder Lall, Jaskanwal Jit Kaur, Sankari Mitra, Mehak Sharma, Nidhi and Ranju Kumari are participating in the camp.
