JAMMU: The Literary Club of Government College of Education, Jammu organized quiz competition focused on the Indian Freedom Struggle. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across the region, celebrating India's rich history and the S/heroes who fought for independence. The competition featured multiple rounds of challenging questions covering significant events, personalities and milestones of India's fight for freedom.
The participants showcased their deep knowledge and understanding of the country's historical journey. Dr. Jyoti Parihar, Principal of the College, expressed pride in the event's success and said that the quiz competition was a tribute to the sacrifices and struggles of our forefathers.
The event was divided into preliminary rounds, semi-finals, and a grand finale. Each round tested the participants' grasp of historical facts, their ability to think critically, and their teamwork skills. The final round was particularly intense, with the top teams battling it out for the coveted title. All participants were commended for their efforts and enthusiasm. Dr. Shalini Rana, Prof Balwan Singh and Dr Suraj Prakash, the event coordinators, remarked that the level of knowledge and competitive spirit displayed by the students was remarkable. The event not only helped in educating participants about India’s freedom struggle but also instilled a sense of national pride and identity.
The winners of the competition were Miss Rekha and Miss Nidhi Bahgat of B.Ed. Sem IV, while the second and third positions were bagged by Miss Sanchi and Miss Palak Sharma and Mr. Akash and Miss Jagmohan Kour of B.Ed. Sem IV. Overall six teams participated in the event.
