JAMMU: Under the AatmaNirbhar Bharat campaign, the BJP Mahila Morcha, District North, organized a programme at Shyamachak village in Marh Mandal.
Adv. Neha Mahajan, BJP Mahila Morcha President, accompanied by general secretaries Er. Urvashi Gupta and Poonam Gupta, Vice president Santosh Sharma and secretary Suman Raina chiefly addressed the programme. Anjali Sharma Chauhan, Mahila Morcha District President, Jammu North, presided over the event held at the residence of Mandal Sarpanch Jyoti.
Adv. Neha Mahajan discussed the AatmaNirbhar Bharat initiative's objectives, focusing on self-employment and economic empowerment for women. The aim is to make the country and its citizens independent and self-reliant in all senses. Five pillars of Atma Nirbhar Bharat – Economy, Infrastructure, System, Vibrant Demography and Demand have been outlined.
Neha Mahajan focused towards cutting down import dependence by focussing on substitution while improving safety compliance and quality goods to gain global market share. The Self-Reliance signifies neither any exclusionary or isolationist strategies but involves creation of a helping hand to the whole world. The Mission focuses on the importance of promoting “local” products.
She said that the idea of Atmanirbhar Bharat focuses on various sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, technology, and infrastructure. It encourages the development of indigenous industries, promotes entrepreneurship, and fosters innovation and research. The goal is to create a robust and self-sustaining economy that can withstand global challenges and become a global leader in various sectors.
One of the key aspects of Atmanirbhar Bharat is promoting local production and consumption. It encourages people to buy and support locally made products, which in turn boosts the domestic economy and creates job opportunities. This initiative also aims to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups by providing them with the necessary support and resources. The Atma Nirbhar Bharat Campaign is a crucial step towards the growth and regeneration of the Indian, added Neha Mahajan.
Anjali Chauhan reaffirmed Mahila Morcha's commitment to empowering women through effective implementation of government schemes. The event facilitated meaningful interactions among women workers regarding AatmaNirbhar Bharat schemes and concluded with gratitude.
