JAMMU: Bharat Vikas Parishad Jammu Kashmir Prant organised North Region Level National Group Song Competition in the Auditorium of Shri Ram Universal School Jakh Vijaypur District Samba. Sh. Chander Prakash Ganga Hon’ble MLA Vijaypur was the Chief guest in the inaugural session. S. Gajinder Singh Sandhu National Coordinator BVP was the main speaker. Sh. Sushil Sharma Regional President BVP presided over the function & Sh. Sanjeev Gupta Chairman “The Shri Ram Universal School Jakh” was the Guest of Honour.
Teams from different states like Punjab, Himachal, Jammu & Chandigarh participated in the program and sung two patriotic songs one in Hindi & other in Sanskrit. The program started with the traditional lighting of lamp and recitation of Vande Matram. Sh Bharat Bhushan State President welcomed all the esteemed guests, members, teachers & students of various schools. In His welcome address he pointed out that BVP is a social cultural organisation aimed to promote patriotism among the students through such programs.
The Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of BVP in promoting positivity, patriotism and feeling of brotherhood among the young students & channelling their energies for the common good of the society. Sh. Sanjeev Gupta Chairman “The Shri Ram School” also applauded the activities & commitment of BVP to make our country strong, influential & self-reliant. S. Gajender Singh Sandhu spoke on the activities of BVP at the national level stressed upon the youth to make refrain from drugs and other social evils. The adjudicators of this cultural extravaganza are well known dignitaries in the field of music Prof. Anupama Sharma, Sh. Kuldeep Rai & Sh. Sunil Sharma. Sh. Arun Kumar Sharma Gupta National Committee member NGSC gave introduction about the aims & objectives of the program. Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma IPS, D.I.G Jammu Kathua Range was the chief guest in the concluding session.
DAV School Bhatinda was the overall winner in the competition. Vote of thanks was given by Sh. Gopal Sharma, Regional Joint General Secretary. The program was jointly conducted by Sh. Shivram Sharma, State General Secretary, & Sh. Arun Kumar Regional Secretary Sanskar. Other prominent persons attended the function are Dr. Dev Raj Sharma National Convenor Environment, Dr. Santosh Gupta State Patron, Smt Amita Sharma, Pf. Jagjit Singh Isher Prant Pramukh Environment & esteemed members of various branches. All the participating students are given certificates, medals & memento. The program ended with the recitation of National Anthem & amid the slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai. The team that stood first shall represent North 1 region at the National level Program at Jammu on 15th of December 2024 at Bangalore Karnataka.
