GANDERBAL: The Department of Tourism Studies (DTS), Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) hosted a visit from students of Govt. Model Higher Secondary School, D.H. Pora Kulgam. The visit was part of a community outreach event aimed at acquainting school students with opportunities in tourism as a career.
In his welcome address, Dr. Ashaq Najar, Sr. Asst Prof. introduced the department and the courses offered in tourism by CUKashmir. Prof. (Dr.) Fayaz Ahmed Nika, Dean School of Business Studies in his address, motivated the students to explore the diverse career paths in the tourism sector, emphasizing the potential of the industry in the region.
This initiative provided students with insights into tourism studies and career opportunities, aiming to inspire the younger generation to consider tourism as a promising professional field. Dr. Faizan Ashraf Mir, Dr. Shahnaz Akhtar and Dr. Asma Bashir were present. Dr. Abid Suhail Nika, conducted the proceedings and Dr. Adil Nazki, proposed the vote of thanks.
