BANDIPORA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, convened a meeting on Saturday to deliberate on the Comprehensive District Survey Report (DSR) prepared by the Department of Geology and Mining, Bandipora. The meeting analyzed the findings of the DSR and discussed its implications for the development of the district.
On the occasion, the DC urged the concerned officers to provide inputs and suggestions on leveraging the DSR findings to address local challenges and opportunities effectively. He remarked that the DSR offers valuable insights into the geology, mining potential, and natural resources of the district. He emphasized that the findings of the report would play a pivotal role in informing future planning and decision-making processes for development of the district.
Furthermore, the DC directed the District Mineral Officer to take stringent measures to curb illegal mineral extraction across the district. He instructed all concerned officers to maintain close coordination and promptly address bottlenecks to ensure that the general public does not face any inconvenience.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bandipora, Zaffar Husson Shawl, District Mineral Officer (DMO), Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, AD Fisheries, Tehsildars, and Executive Engineers from the Irrigation & Flood Control and Roads & Buildings (R&B) Departments.
