REASI: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik, chaired a high-level meeting to review the status of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and Border Roads Organisation (BRO) projects within the district. The meeting focused on the progress of major infrastructural initiatives, including the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway and the Budhal- Mahore-Gul Road, critical for regional connectivity and development.
Deputy Commissioner emphasised the need for timely disbursement of land acquisition compensation and directed concerned departments to ensure its completion within a stipulated timeframe. Officers were instructed to actively address land-related issues to facilitate the smooth execution of these pivotal projects. Stressing the importance of timely project delivery, she urged executing agencies to expedite their efforts.
DC directed officials to verify and finalise the site for the temporary relocation of the check post at Moori to streamline project-related activities. The district administration remains committed to resolving challenges and supporting infrastructure development to boost connectivity and economic growth in the region. ACR Reasi Anshumali Sharma, SDM Katra Piyush Dhotra, SDM Mahore Mazzahir Hussain, DFO Mahore and other officials were present.
