GANDERBAL: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal organized a monthly review meeting today to evaluate the performance of Legal Aid Defense Counsels. The objective was to uphold service delivery standards, identify challenges encountered by the counsels, and discuss strategies for enhancement. The meeting was presided over by Sheikh Babar Hussain, Secretary of DLSA, Ganderbal, and was attended by Sajid Irfan, Deputy LADC, and Tanveer Ashraf, Assistant LADC.
During the session, the Legal Aid Defense Counsels reported on the status of their assigned cases, while the Secretary assessed their performance and reviewed case files. Resolutions were passed to improve the operations of the counsels, focusing on punctuality, the provision of thorough and competent legal services, and the maintenance of accurate records.
The Secretary committed to addressing the issue of insufficient supporting staff with the J&K Legal Services Authority for a swift resolution. The purpose of the meeting was to enhance the provision of legal aid services and ensure equitable access to justice for all.
