JAMMU: The NSS Unit of Government College of Education, under the guidance of Principal Dr. Jyoti Parihar and NSS Programme Officer Professor Sarita Dogra, organized a Road Safety Awareness rally as part of the college’s initiative to celebrate Road Safety Week. The NSS volunteers and students actively engaged with the public, appreciating those wearing helmets and persuading those without helmets to adopt safer practices. The event emphasized the importance of road safety and responsible behavior among commuters.
In a significant collaboration with the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), the NSS Unit also administered a pledge on Swachhata Awareness. The initiative, supported by SO Arun Nayar and Ramesh Wazir of JMC, highlighted the importance of cleanliness and environmental responsibility, aligning with the goals of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The event was attended by esteemed faculty members, including Professor Satish Kumar, Professor Sughanda Rani, Dr. Shubhra Jamwal, Professor Kiran Thapa, Professor Roopa Kumari, Professor Deepali, and Dr. Shalini Sharma. The participating Faculty members actively participated in the activities and interacted with students to reinforce the significance of road safety and cleanliness.
