PULWAMA: The one-week Management Development Program (MDP) on Digital Marketing and Intellectual Property Rights concluded today at Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora. The program was organized by the Branch MSME – Development and Facilitation Office (DFO) Srinagar, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, in collaboration with the CIED - IUST Foundation.
A total of 25 participants participated in this comprehensive program. The primary aim of the MDP was to equip both existing entrepreneurs and aspiring ones with essential knowledge and skills for setting up their enterprises. The program focused on bridging the gap between technology, business, and legal expertise, with special emphasis on the rapidly evolving fields of digital marketing.
The program was facilitated by experienced trainers who specialize in digital marketing and intellectual property, offering practical insights and real-world applications for participants. Through interactive learning activities and personalized guidance, attendees gained hands-on experience that directly contributes to their entrepreneurial pursuits.
In his address, Saheel Alaqband, Assistant Director, MSME Srinagar, highlighted the importance of Intellectual Properties and how they must be protected for the growth of business. He emphasized that registration not only provides a legal framework for protection but also opens up access to numerous opportunities. He took a detailed session on importance of data and its documentation for Business development.
The valedictory session was graced by Prof. Parvez A. Mir, CEO of the CIED-IUST Foundation; Saheel Alaqband, Assistant Director MSME Srinagar, and other members of the CIED-IUST Foundation.
