JAMMU: Educational institutes should ensure conducive environment for nurturing and shaping the personality of the students. This was stressed by the Minister for Social Welfare, Forests, Ecology and Environment, Bali Bhagat during the annual day function of Divine Light St.Marys Convent School, Domana today. Senior Leader Yudhvir Sethi was the guest of honour on the occasion, Chairman of the School Parmod Kapai, Principal Raghvan TC, staff, students, parents and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.

 

The Minister said that education is a vital tool to shape the future of a child and nation. He said that schools should aim to incorporate new teaching methodologies and provide opportunities for sports and co-curricular activities for overall personality development of the students.  He said that need of hour is to channelize the potential of children in the right direction.

 

Appreciating efforts of the school in imparting quality education to the students, Yudhvir wished the students success in their entire endeavor and called upon the school management to keep their education standards high besides providing good facilities to the students.  The Minister stressed that we all have to understand our roles and responsibilities and contribute for the betterment of the society. Bali said that annual day is a good opportunity for the students to show their talent and also a pleasurable moment for the parents.
