SRINAGAR: Search operation by Ganderbal police and local youth continues for second day to fish out the body of female teacher who had drowned after slipped accidently on Wednesday in river Sind near Ahsan Mount Resort at Sonamarf Hang in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. Search operation by local youth and police personnel and SDRF to trace the body continued till late afternoon yesterday without any success and today it started again its search operation near River Sind, Reports said. 

Female teacher identified as Kulsooma Rashid daughter of Ab. Rashid Bhat of Badampora Ganderbal a teacher in Starland secondary School was on picnic with her mates and were capturing photos at Sonamarg Hang when she lost control and drowned into river Sindh. Panic has gripped the Village following the incident and hundreds of people today thronged the banks of river, as police, local youth and SDRF team were carrying out searches for the drowned girl. 

Meanwhile the family and relatives of the deceased lady yesterday held a protest demonstration against district administron Ganderbal for not helping in rescue operation. The protesters blocked Sgr Leh highway for hours on late yesterday afternoon due to which hundreds of vehicles remained suspended. Later SHO Police Station Gund assured them every possible help and they were pacified peacefully. 

The local youth body requested all to come forward  to search the dead body and the people who live near the nallah Sindh shall also keep this in mind so that they can get the dead body. Youth from all the Villages of Sub District Kangan have to make the Groups and start the searching process, they added.
