UDHAMPUR: Indian Army under Sadbhavna project organized Equine Training course from 28 May 2018 to 30 Jun 2018 for 62 students of Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology (SKUAST). The course was conducted by Advance Field Veterinary Hospital under aegis of Udhampur Sub Area.

62 students were given practical exposure and on job training about health diseases of Equines, their diagnosis & line of treatment as well as training on latest diagnostic equipment for early disease diagnosis. During their visit to Equine Breeding Stud, Babugarh, UP from 01 Jul to 03 Jul 2018, the students were given practical exposure to scientific equine management, breeding operations, artificial insemination and frozen semen technology, management of fodder production through farming operations and other finer aspects of equine husbandry, treatment and management including exposure to various diagnostic equipments/ techniques to augment the therapeutic and diagnostic skills.

 

The valedictory function to conclude the Equine Training Course was held at Udhampur on 07 Jul 2018. Deputy GOC Udhampur Sub Area presented certificates to all the students and unvieled a manual on Equine Management & Treatment as ready reference for the students.
