JAMMU: Newly appointed BJP State General Secretary Yudhvir Sethi today asked party cadres to strengthen hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief Amit Shah by taking government's programmes and policies to people in most fair and honest manner so that they could reap their benefits. He also assured them that no stone will be left unturned to strengthen democratic values and usher peace and prosperity by Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jammu and Kashmir State.

Yudhvir Sethi was speaking to a well attended gathering of party activists from different parts of Jammu who had called on him to congratulate him on his elevation as BJP general secretary. Those who arrived to greet Yudhvir Sethi at his resident today said that this appointment speaks of party's faith in his leadership and assured all support to him. Yudhvir Sethi also assured party cadres that the organisational responsibility entrusted on him will be fulfilled with complete dedication, commitment and zeal to ensure that BJP is strengthened and its programmes and policies reach every nook and corner of the state.

Those who arrived at his residence heavily garlanded Yudhvir Sethi and distributed sweets amongst people. They also sought guidance from him about coming local body polls and Panchayat elections on which the BJP general secretary said party was all prepared for any polls and will fair better in any polls including next general elections.

Elections to local bodies or Panchayats are essence of any democracy and BJP will definitely participate in them to decentralise powers, he said adding that as an when the same are announced party cadres should swing into action and reach masses. He also said that workers are real strength of party and it is because of their endless zeal to serve the nation that BJP flag is hoisted in maximum states in India. This victory he added belongs to party karyakartas and is even recognised by prime minister Narendra  Modi. Yudhvir Sethi was earlier as State Vice President in the party.
