JAMMU: The Custodian General Farooq Ahmed Shah today chaired introductory meeting with the officers of Evacuee Property Department Jammu in his office chambers at Camp Office Jammu. While reviewing the functioning of the department, the Custodian General impressed upon the officers to work with honesty and dedication for protection and effective management of the Evacuee Property.
"No indiscipline or negligence on the part of employees shall be tolerated", he maintained. The Custodian General entrusted upon the officers to ensure the protection of evacuee property from land grabbers, encroachers and other unscrupulous elements. The Custodian General said that a special drive against the defaulters for recovery of rent, arrears from individuals and government departments will be launched.
He also directed to retrieve the evacuee land for illegal occupants. The Custodian General further directed the Custodian Evacuee Property and concerned Deputy Custodians of both the Divisions to furnish progress report on monthly basis with regard to activities of the department on account of realization of monthly rentals besides premium, auction money and compensation amount from evacuee property assets and land as well as retrieval of illegal occupation. He also visited various evacuee property sites in and around Jammu city including Banquet Hall, Udheywala.
