The meeting was convened by BJP State President Ravinder Raina (MLA) which was attended by BJP MP Jugal Kishroe Sharma and BJP MLAs, regarding the redressal of all pending issues of SSA/ReT teachers in J&K. BJP leaders wholeheartedly supported their cause and all assured the on strike teachers that BJP will fully support all the demands putforth by SSA/ReT teachers, as they are being victimized since long. Addressing the teachers in his concluding remarks Raina said that teachers are the National builders.
He said that at present these national builders i.e. SSA/ReT teachers are being victimized due to non-implementation of 7th Pay Commission and non-delinking of their salaries from MHRD. Raina pointed out that the education of the children of Jammu and Kashmir is suffering which is not at all acceptable to any civilized society. It is the primary responsibility of all the stake holders to listen to the various issues raised by these Nation builders, Raina added.
Raina informed all leaders that during the meeting which was held on 30th of August with Governor Satya Pal Malik ji, the BJP delegation raised the issue of SSA/ReT before the Governor and apprised the new Governor of the state about the agitation launched by these teachers in favour of their long pending genuine demands.
