KISHTWAR: In compliance to the directions of Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer Kishtwar, Abhay Indu Sharma today suspended 03 driving licences of violators for a period of three months for violating traffic rules.

On the directions of DC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana a regular checking were conducted by ARTO   in which  03 Driving license bearing no. JK17 20120025829 , JK17 20170000363 and JK-1420090005329 were suspended for a period of 3 months each, under different sections like dangerous driving , excessive speed , disobedience of order, rash driving etc. of Motor Vehicles Act,1988, Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989 and Jammu Kashmir Motor Vehicles Rules,1991.

Further, the violators have been warned not to drive till the suspension for these driving licences is revoked by the ARTO kishtwar. The ARTO has also appealed to the general public to abide by all the traffic rules to make roads safer for the public life and also bring to the notice of the office any violation specially drivers using mobile phones, using adulterated fuel, overloading, distracted driving, overspeeding, using music systems, misbehaviour by making small videos or clicking pictures. He said soon a public notice shall be issued in this regard and a helpline number shall be issued.
