JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party’s Kashmir Displaced District (BJPKDD) unit held a meeting of its elected Councillors from Kashmir at BJP Headquarter, Jammu. Meeting was chaired by BJP State Vice-President and MLC Ajay Bharti and was also attended by newly nominated Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Chander Mohan Gupta.

Ajay Bharti, in the meeting, impressed upon that this term of Councillors is welcome opportunity for them to do some positive work in the valley. He suggested them that the opportunity must be fully harnessed by the BJP Councillors to bridge the gaps grown over in decades between the communities in the valley and to develop the inroads in the region. MLC also shared a road map with “Special 34” and asked them to always keep “Nation first, Party second and Self Last” ideology in mind.

Chander Mohan Gupta encouraged “Special 34” by his presence and wished success in their future endeavour. He said that the as Mayor of JMC his target to set quality standards in the roads, sanitation, development of projects, drinking water etc. He said that as elected Councillors we must work on ground to understand the issues faced by the public and develop ways to address them.

BJP KDD president Chandji Bhat, BJPKDD General Secretary (Org.) B.L. Razdana, BJYMKDD President Kamla Warikoo representation from all mandals and morchas of BJPKDD also felicitated Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta and all the Councillors from Kashmir region during the meeting.

Councillors from Kashmir Ashok Kumar Koul, Rohit Tak, Bablooji Gosai, Jyoti Gosai, Satish Zutshi, Sheela Handoo, Avtar Krishan Raina, Saroj Malla, Urmilla Bali, Kiran Wali, Vimal Raina, Rakesh Koul, Ashok Bali, Rajinder Bali, Sushma Bali, Kuldeep Raina, Veena Koul, Vikas Koul, Beauty Koul, Rakesh Sharma, Rajni Koul and Subash Chander Koul were amongst the other prominent BJPKDD leaders present in the meeting.
