SRINAGAR: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Media Incharge Kashmir and State Media Secretary Altaf Thakur said that Mayor and Dy Mayor should focus on cleaning of Srinagar city either to interfere in international politics. Addressing press conference in Srinagar Thakur said “Both Moyar and Dy Moyar should focus on development of Srinagar, but both are interested in politics”.

“Both have nothing to do with Kashmir issue they only want money, they don’t want development they only play politics, they should look Modi Ji have done lot of work and provide schemes but both Moyar and Dy Moyar are not interested to provide such type of development to people of Srinagar Thukar said.” He added “they are dancing on road and forget for what people elected them. Added people vote for development not that you should interfere in polities”  

“It is BJP that introduced Ujwala Scheme. Under the scheme 12 Lakh gas connections were provided to the people across the state. We also introduced insurance scheme- Ayushman Bharat, under the scheme insurance cover was provided to 50 crore people of the country. (sum insured- rupees 5 Lakh), it is BJP that secured the future of the daughters by introducing “Beti Bacho Beti Padho scheme”.

When asked that Deputy Mayor Sheikh Imran had recently said that BJP is  communal, he said that his party does not believe in communalism. “My party has always strengthened the pillars of secularism and communal harmony if working for people is communal then i have no hesitation in what imran has said about my party. If working towards development is being labeled as communal then I am proud to be one,” he said. Thakur added “both NC and PDP are talking about BJP, but BJP is working for the welfare of people.  Neither PDP nor NC has any idea how to control the current situation of Kashmir”.
