- PDP boycotting to support Pak sympathiser NC-Cong
JAMMU: Condemning National Conference candidate for Baramulla parliamentary constituency Mohommad Akbar Lone for raising "Pakistan Zindabad" slogans during an election rally, State Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary & Incharge Jammu -Poonch Parliamentry Lok Sabha Constituency Yudhvir Sethi asked Election Commission of India (ECI) to cancel candidature of Lone and initiate action against him.
In his statement Yudhvir Sethi said last year also Lone had shouted `Pakistan Zindabad' slogans in the Legislative Assembly. He added that NC leader is habitual of his Pro-Pak stand and instigates youth of Kashmir to tow wrong lines instead of asking them to be part of development, peace and prosperity. He said such leaders must be booked and charges of sedition filed against them.
The BJP general secretary said that both PDP and NC have their hands in blood of young boys of Kashmir. Had these "tried, tested and failed" organisations concentrated on welfare of youth, Jammu and Kashmir would have been on the path of progress like any other state. He condemned the statement of Lone and said that these leaders don't let Kashmir progress and misguide youth.
Yudhvir Sethi said that irony is that PDP is boycotting Jammu seats only to support NC which raises Pro-Pak slogans and which is in alliance with Congress which is responsible for settlement of Rohangiyas in Jammu. This cheap and disillusioned politics, he added is only to fight BJP. He urged people of Jammu and Kashmir State to elect BJP candidate to power and be part of development, peace and prosperity.
Yudhvir ethics added that no one other than BJP can truly represent people of Jammu and Kashmir in Parliament. The candidate which the Congress has fielded in Jammu and Kashmir are not only failures, turncoat, opportunists or immature but lack a vision too.
