JAMMU: The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Jammu, organized a special lecture on the National Space Day wherein Professor Rajni Kant, distinguished fellow of the Royal Society of London and Professor of Physics at the University of Jammu, communicated with the students on the topic âIndiaâs Space Sagaâ.
In the special lecture, Prof. Rajni Kant emphasized the driving force of the universe, saying, âThe human body is directly correlated with mother earth." He also shared his insights on the need to explore space and how it is a mix of various disciplines, including physics, electronics, computer science, chemistry, life sciences, and much more. He emphasised the role of finding life on other planets, highlighting the connection between the human mind and space.
He said that only 10 per cent of space is known to humankind whereas 90 per cent of it remains undiscovered. Comparing it to human mind he added the human mind is also only 10 percent developed, and further advancement in the intellect will surpass artificial intelligence. He also discussed the various space missions launched by India. The welcome address of the session was given by Dr. Vinit Utpal, Assistant Professor and Special Officer, Studentsâ Welfare. The session altogether was a remarkable opportunity for the students and faculty members to delve into the wonders of space.
