SUMBAL: A day long Majlis-e-Hussaini was held by Jammu Kashmir Anjuman Shari Shian that was presided by its president and senior separatist leader Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi. The conference was held at Inderkoot Sumbal in which thousands of devotees from different parts of valley participated.   Aga Hasan presided over the conference and gave an hour long lecture on the occasion.

Aga Hasan depicted certain aspects of character of Imam Hussain (A.S) and paid tribute to the martyrs of Karbala. He also threw light on life and teachings of Imam Hussain (A.S) and asked people to follow the path and teachings of Islam, besides he said that the martyrs of karbala have set an example before us through their deeds, which will remain till the last day of this world.

Moreover, he prayed for the whole Muslim Ummah for their religious peace, unity and integrity. The Majlis started with recitation of holy Quran, followed by Marsia by prominent Zakirs. Aga Syed Hasan also talked about Article 35A and said that if this article is tinkered with, it will have serious and dangerous ramifications. He said that there will be blood bath in case this Article is abrogated. He appealed people to be united and fight against the judicial onslaught.

DODA: District Development Commissioner, Simrandeep Singh reviewed the arrangements for ongoing and forthcoming yatras in and from Bhaderwah in a meeting here today at meeting hall DC office Doda. The arrangements for smooth conduct of Annual Holy Machail Yatra, Manimahesh Yatra and Kailash yatra were discussed during the meeting. The meeting was attended by ADC Doda Pawan Kumar Parihar, CEO Bhaderwah Development Authority, SDMs, CPO, ACD other officers besides EO MC Bhaderwah, DFO, BMO, XEN PDD/PHE, Tehsildar.

 

The DDC directed the ARTO to arrange the required number of buses for transportation of yatris besides ensuring that no overloading to be done by the vehicles. Health department was directed to provide Medicare and ambulance along with doctors and paramedical staff and EO Municipal Committee was asked to ensure cleanliness in and around the town and at the main venues of yatras. Directions with regard to temporary installations of toilets were also passed to municipal committee. Arrangements pertaining to uninterrupted supply of electricity, availability of water, smooth movement of traffic, availability of firewood and essential services were also reviewed in the meeting.

KISHTWAR: Machail Mata Yatra had crossed landmark of one lakh yatris on 15th August when the whole country was celebrating the 72nd years of India's Independence with gaiety and enthusiasm. The pilgrims coming across different parts of the country paid rich obscene at Machail Mata temple, crossing one lakh landmark. As per official figures about 1,02224 pilgrims have visited Machail Mata temple during the one and half -month long yatra which officially commenced from 25th July of this year.

Heavy rush of piligrims is seen this year which has crossed one lakh landmark, before the arrival of Charri Yatra from Chinote Bhadarwah to Kishtwar on 18th August. Since the commencement of yatra about 44919 males, 37339 females, 19784 children and 92 sadhus had performed darshans at Machail Mata temple.

While expressing happiness over heavy rush of pilgrims, DDC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana stated that people across the country have great faith over the deity of Mata Machail Rani who fulfils their wishes and also showers her blessings. He further added that the said Yatra has immensely contributed in uplifting the socio- economic conditions of people of Padder area and advised that during holy mace the Yatris must keep in mind the sanctity of the pious place and should remain concerned towards cleanliness and hygiene, keeping the surroundings clean so that Machail Yatra becomes one of the choicest place of pilgrimage in the country.
