POONCH: In view of the inclement weather forecast by Meteorological Centre Srinagar from 15th to 16th March, 2025, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has advised the public to avoid unnecessary travel and follow the safety guidelines during this period for their safety.
âThe general public is advised to minimize movement on the National Highway (NH144A) on 15th and 16th March 2025 and to follow safety guidelines while travelling. The risk of landslides, mudslides, and stone shooting from BG to Poonch stretch increases during adverse weather conditions and the general public's cooperation is essential to ensure safety during this weather advisory period,â a DDMA handout stated.
Further, Revenue, PWD(R&B), Irrigation & Flood Control Department, Mechanical Engineering Department, PMGSY, JPDCL, Jal Shakti (PHE), BRO and Health & Medical and all other line departments have been directed to stay alert and make all necessary logistical arrangements during this period.
