DODA: Nehru Yuva Kendra Doda, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt of India organized mass cleanliness drive at JawaharNavodyaVidyalaya, Arnora to propagate the message of Gandhi Ji on the importance of Cleanliness & Sanitation. The campaign routed on the theme “SwabhavSwachhta, SanskaarSwachhta” aimed at eradicating plastic waste and cleanliness in and around the school premises.
During the campaign, scores of MY Bharat volunteers including that of NYKS and NSS took the pledge on Swachhta and committed to maintaining cleanliness in their daily lives. Principal of the school Sh. Kheem Chand lead the cleanliness drive accompanied by members of several youth clubs.
District Youth Officer Khushal Gupta urged public from all strata of society to come forward and participate in Swachhta Hi Seva programmes in their respective villages to make India a clean and green nation. He specifically mentioned that My Bharat volunteers across the nation are undertaking massive cleanliness drives in a mission mode during the period 17th September to 02nd October.
During this period, millions of KGs of plastic waste will be collected and disposed properly so as to eliminate plastic pollution. During the event, JugnuBhagat along with Romesh Kumar from NYKS requested the youth to get registered on MY Bharat portal and participate in nation building activities. The event ended with the eradication of more than 150 Kgs of plastic waste.
