SRINAGAR: The J&K Forest Department organized a one-day workshop today at Forest Headquarter, Srinagar focused on fostering leadership excellence among Range Officers. The aim of workshop is to equip Range Officers with the necessary skills to effectively lead and manage their teams, promote collaboration among stakeholders, and address the challenges facing the forestry sector. About 25 Range Officers across the region participated in the workshop.
Irfan Rasool Wani, Chief Conservator of Forests(CCF), Kashmir who was Chief Guest on the occasion, highlighted the importance of leadership in shaping the future of forestry in the region. The workshop featured a detailed presentation by expert speakers who shared their valuable knowledge and experience in various aspects of leadership within the forestry sector.
The presentation covered topics such as styles of leadership, motivation theories, communication skills, team building, conflict resolution, and strategic decision-making. During the workshop, participants engaged in various activities and group discussions designed to enhance their leadership skills. The workshop proved to be a valuable platform for Range Officers to exchange their ideas share experiences and challenges.
The participants expressed their appreciation for the informative and engaging sessions. The Forest Department plans to conduct more such workshops in the future to further strengthen the leadership capabilities of its officers.
