KISHTWAR: To promote hygiene and sanitation, a cleanliness and beautification drive was conducted today here in the Kishtwar town. Initiated on the direction of Deputy Commissioner R.K.Shavan, the drive was led by ACD Phulail Singh here from Kuleed to Zellna area. The drive was part of the district administration's efforts to ensure a healthy and hygienic environment for the residents and visitors in the Township.
During the drive, the ACD inspected shops, Dhabas and market areas, instructing the owners to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the market. He suggested painting the shop shutters with white paint and using white tiles for flooring to add to the beautification of the town. He further urged shopkeepers to avoid use of polythene bags and maintain surroundings clean.
