JAMMU: In a yet another major achievement, son of the soil and International Taekwando player besides coach and referee, Atul Pangotra has been invited by the organizers of US Open Taekwando Championship 2018 as an International Referee. He is only from India who has been invited as International Referee at this even to be  held at Las Vegas, Naveda, USA from January 28- February 2, 2018.  

A State  & Sher-i-Kashmir Awardee in the field of Sports as an outstanding player,  Atul Pangotra again won Gold Medal  in recently concluded National Taekwando Championship held in Jammu and has continued his streak of winning Gold Medals in Senior Nationals since 2008. He has also won Silver Medal in Commonwealth Taekwando Championship in Montreal,  Canada. With many international medals to his credit and has represented India at as Player and coach,  Atul is also Referee Chairman of Taekwando Federation of India. He is also First NIS coach from J&K in Taekwando.  


In 2016, he won Silver in World Taekwondo Hanmadang International championship held in Pokhara, Nepal.  Same year, he also won Gold medal in England Open International Taekwondo championship at Manchester, England &  Gold medal in Raw Taekwondo International Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.  He is presently working in Sports Council as a Coach on deputation from youth Services and Sports department.
