JAMMU: On the 4th  day of the ongoing 2nd State Universities Sports Championship, 2018 organized by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu at the University Campus, in which the  teams from the University of Jammu, University of Kashmir, SKUAST Jammu, SKUAST Kashmir, Central University Jammu, Central University Kashmir, Cluster University Jammu, Cluster University Srinagar,  NIT Srinagar, SKIMS Soura, BGSB University Rajouri, SMVDU Katra, Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan Jammu, Islamic University of Sc. & Technology Awantipora and Central Institute of Buddhist Studies Leh are  participating in six games i.e. Cricket (M&W),Football (M),Volleyball (M&W),Basketball (M&W),Table Tennis (M&W),Badminton(M&W), the following matches were played. 

Cricket (Men): 

1st Match: Cluster University of Srinagar Beat IUST Awantipora by 11 runs 

2nd Match: In the 1st Semi-Final Match, University of Kashmir beat NIT Kashmir by 6 wkts. 

Cricket (Women) : 

The University of Jammu team beat Cluster University Srinagar by 6 wkts in the final and lifted the Cricket (W) Championship.         

3rd Position: 

 The BGSBU Rajouri team beat SMVDU Katra by 22 runs and won the bronze medal. 

Football (Men) : 

1st Match: 

          The University of Jammu beat BGSBU Rajouri by 2-1

Goal scorers :Both the  goals were scored by Gourav

Burhan scored the  goal for the of BGSBU Rajouri team. 

2nd Match:

          IUST Awantipora beat Cluster University Jammu by 3-0

Goal scorers :

1st goal scored by Furqan

2nd goal scored by Mohsin

3rd goal scored by Muneeb 

3rd Position : 

          The BGSBU Rajouri team beat Cluster University  Jammu by 3-1 and won bronze medal.

          Suhail, Salman & Burhan scored goals for the BGSBU.

          Bhanu scored goal for the Cluster University  Jammu   

Badminton (Women) : 

The University of Jammu beat SKUAST Jammu 2-0 and won the Badminton (W) Championship 

3rd Postion :

The SMVDU Katra team beat University of Kashmir by 2-0 and won the bronze medal.         

 Badminton (Men) :     

The University of Jammu beat Cluster University  Jammu by 3-2 and won the Badminton (M) Championship  

3rd Postion : 

The NIT Kashmir beat Central University  Jammu by 3-1 and won the bronze medal. 

Basketball (Women) : 

The University of Jammu beat SMVDU Katra by 9 points and won the Badminton (M) Championship 

3rd Postion : 

The University of Kashmir beat SKIMS, Soura 20 points and won the bronze medal.  

Basketball (Men) : 

1st Match

          The University of Jammu beat Central University Jammu by 30 points         

2nd Match

          Cluster University Jammu beat University of Kashmir by 22 points       

Final Match :

          Cluster University Jammu beat the University of Jammu by 3 points and won the Basketball (Men) Championship. 

3rd Postion : 

The University of Kashmir beat Central University Jammu by 22 points and won the bronze medal. 

Table-Tennis (Men) : 

1st Match

          University of Kashmir beat Central University  Jammu by 3-0

2nd Match

          NIT Srinagar beat Cluster University Jammu by 3-1

3rd Match

          SMVDU Katra beat BGSBU Rajouri by 3-0 

Table-Tennis (Women) : 

1st Match

          University of Jammu beat University of Kashmir by 3-0

2nd Match

          SMVDU Katra beat Cluster University Jammu by 3-0 

Volleyball (Women) : 

Final Match  : 

 The University of Jammu beat Cluster University  Jammu by 3-0 and won the Volleyball (Women)  Championship. 

3rd Postion : 

The CIBS Leh beat BGSBU Rajouri by 3-0 and won the bronze medal.

 Volleyball (Men) : 

Final Match  :

Cluster University Jammu beat University of Jammu by 3-2 and won the Volleyball (M)  Championship. 

3rd Position:       

University of Kashmir beat BGSBU Rajouri by 3-0 and won the bronze medal.

Sh. Rohit Singh Sambyal Chairman G-Max IT Services, Prof. Dipankar S. Gupta, Dr. Dharminder Magotra JR(F) JU and Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba Director Sports & Physical Education, JU were the chief guests of the today’s events of the Championship.
