JAMMU: A week longViksit Bharat Yuva Connect program kicked off at Central University of Jammu from 4th to 8th August, 2025 being organised under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, and Ministry of Education, Govt. of India in the university campus with the Viksit Bharat Pledge administered by Registrar, Prof. Yashwant Singh and Tiranga Rally flagged off by Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain in the presence of Director, Directorate of Physical Education, Central University of Jammu, Prof. Vandana Sharma and deans, heads, faculty, staff and students. 

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Jain underscored the collective vision of "Viksit Bharat 2047" and the role of youth who possesses immense potential but is also confronted with enormous challenges in the era of technological boom and addiction to social media. Prof. Jain advised youth to embrace 'Make in India’ and indigenous platforms to usher in a Viksit Bharat of their dreams. 

The Director, Prof. Vandhana Sharma underscored the relevance of VBYCP which It is a flagship youth engagement initiative of the Ministry of Youth affairs and sports, Govt. of india to foster a spirit of responsible citizenship , innovative and social awareness among the youth preparing them to take on active leadership roles in India’s developmental journey. She said that the university is organising a series of activities to capture the spirit of Viksit Bharat @2047 and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan commencing with a Pledge followed by Tiranga Rally; Cycle Rally - Paddle for Viksit Bharat. ;   Yuva Samvad, wall painting and  slogan writing, Nukkad Natak. Dr. Sudhakar, Dr. Kiran, Dr. Bhawani,  Dr. Neerendra, Assistant Directors  and Lieut. Dr. Pankaj Mehta and Dr. Anju Thappa are the core committee to conduct the week-long  celebrations.
