JAMMU: BJP Jammu & Kashmir General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul chaired a meeting of BJP District Jammu South at the party office in Jammu to review preparations and discuss the successful organization of the upcoming programmes to commemorate the 650th Birth Anniversary of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji, Maharishi Ved Vyas Jayanti (Guru Purnima) and the nationwide 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.
The meeting was attended by BJP National Secretary & MLA Dr. Narinder Singh, BJP J&K General Secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria, BJP J&K Secretary Reema Padha, and District President Naresh Singh, besides district office bearers, Mandal Presidents and senior party functionaries.
Ashok Koul, addressing the meeting, said that the programmes are not merely ceremonial events but significant opportunities to spread the timeless messages of social harmony, equality, spirituality and patriotism among the people. He said Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji dedicated his life to eradicating social discrimination and promoting equality, while Maharishi Ved Vyas laid the foundation of India's rich spiritual and cultural heritage. Koul emphasized that every BJP worker must ensure that these programmes reach every section of society with active public participation. He also directed party leaders to make the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign a grand success by encouraging every household to proudly hoist the National Flag and strengthen the spirit of nationalism.
Dr. Narinder Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently worked to honour India's great saints, sages and national icons while preserving the country's cultural heritage. He urged party workers to connect with the youth and educate them about the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji and Maharishi Ved Vyas, inspiring them to contribute towards nation-building.
Baldev Singh Billawaria stressed the importance of meticulous planning and strong organizational coordination to ensure the successful execution of all scheduled programmes. He urged district and Mandal teams to work in close coordination and maintain regular public outreach.
Reema Padha appealed to party workers, particularly women activists, to actively participate in all the programmes and motivate families to celebrate these occasions with devotion and patriotic fervour. She said women can play a pivotal role in spreading the messages of social harmony and national unity.
Naresh Singh assured the senior leadership that District Jammu South is fully prepared to organize all the programmes in a disciplined and well-coordinated manner. He said the district unit will ensure maximum public participation and make every event a memorable success through the dedicated efforts of party workers.
