JAMMU/KASHMIR: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, organized booth-level listening sessions of the 136th edition of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's popular monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat' across the Union Territory.
BJP J&K President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma (CA), along with MLA Ch. Vikram Randhawa and former Councillor Surjit Pappu Choudhary, participated in the programme at Booth No. 124, Ward No. 43 of the Bahu Assembly constituency.
BJP J&K General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul listened to the programme with party workers and local citizens at Booth No. 7 of Trikuta Nagar Mandal, where Mandal President Nitish Mahajan was also present.
Similar programmes were organized by BJP workers at booth level throughout Jammu & Kashmir, with enthusiastic participation from local residents, highlighting the growing popularity of the Prime Minister's monthly interaction with the nation.
Sat Sharma, addressing on the occasion, said that Mann Ki Baat has evolved into a unique platform that connects the country's leadership with ordinary citizens. He said the programme inspires people by showcasing stories of individuals who are contributing towards nation-building through innovation, social service, environmental conservation, women empowerment, youth initiatives, and cultural preservation.
Sharma said organizing Mann Ki Baat at the booth level is an important organizational exercise as it enables party workers and the public to collectively listen, discuss, and draw inspiration from the Prime Minister's message. He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, governance has become increasingly people-centric, with public participation emerging as the driving force behind every national campaign.
Ashok Koul, while addressing, said that the BJP organizes Mann Ki Baat programmes among the people because the Prime Minister's message belongs to every citizen and not merely to the government or the party. He said the booth-level programmes create opportunities for interaction with local communities, encourage constructive discussions, and motivate people to contribute positively to society.
Koul emphasized that the strength of Mann Ki Baat lies in its ability to recognize ordinary citizens performing extraordinary work, thereby inspiring millions across the country to adopt positive changes in their own lives. He said the programme reflects Prime Minister Modi's belief that national development is possible only through "Jan Bhagidari" (people's participation) and collective responsibility.
