JAMMU: Under the national integration initiative 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat', Bihar Diwas is going to be celebrated with great enthusiasm in Jammu like other parts of the country. As part of the celebrations, a ‘Sneh Milan Karyakram (fellowship gathering) will be organized on March 23, bringing together the residents of Bihar who are currently working and residing in Jammu and Kashmir.

Ajendra Sharma, Bihar BJP State Working Committee Member and Dr. Satya Prakash Tiwary, Bihar BJP Medical Cell Treasurer, shared this, while addressing media persons at Jammu, along with former JMC Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria, Spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan and Ramesh Gupta.

Both leaders from Bihar highlighted the importance of maintaining strong connections with one's cultural roots while contributing to the progress of their place of residence.

Ajendra Sharma expressed gratitude towards the Bihari community in Jammu and Kashmir for their relentless hard work and dedication. He emphasized that their contributions play a significant role in the development of Jammu and Kashmir, while at the same time, they bring pride to Bihar through their honesty, commitment, and rich cultural values.

Dr. Satya Prakash Tiwary urged the people from Bihar, working in Jammu and Kashmir, to stay connected with their native state despite being away for work. He encouraged them to visit Bihar during major festivals. He also spoke about the significance of preserving Bihar’s cultural heritage and passing it on to future generations.

The Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat initiative aims to foster a spirit of unity and cultural exchange among different states of India. The Bihar Diwas celebration in Jammu will be a testament to this vision, reinforcing the bonds between the people of Bihar and Jammu & Kashmir.
