REASI: District Administration Reasi today organised a Tiranga Boat Rally on the River Chenab as part of the celebrations marking 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’, alongside the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
Aimed at fostering patriotic spirit among the people ahead of the Independence Day celebrations, the rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from police personnel, officials and locals, who carried the National Flag while navigating the River Chenab.
The rally provided a unique and adventurous platform to celebrate the spirit of patriotism, with the Tricolour fluttering proudly against the scenic backdrop of the Chenab.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek said that the Tiranga Boat Rally was organised as part of the celebrations marking 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’, along with the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. He described the occasion as a matter of great pride and said that the rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from the police, rafters and people of Reasi.
He said that the rally was conducted successfully and provided a memorable experience for all participants. He appreciated the patriotic enthusiasm displayed during the event and said that the collective chanting of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram” reflected the spirit of unity and national pride.
SSP Mukund Tibrewal, ADDC Krishan LAL, ADC Rakesh Kumar, CPO Narinder Kumar, Addl. SP Iftekhar Ahmed, ACD Mukesh Sharma and other senior officers were present.
