BANDIPORA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, today chaired a meeting to review the status of implementation of the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) in the district and deliberate on measures for ensuring registration of eligible establishments on the NAPS portal.
The meeting focused on expediting registration of eligible establishments, particularly major establishments, contractors, vendors, hotels, private institutions and other organisations, besides ensuring greater apprenticeship opportunities for local youth.
The DC directed all concerned officers to undertake establishment-wise mapping in their respective areas and ensure timely registration of eligible establishments on the NAPS portal. She stressed close coordination among departments and establishments to facilitate workplace-based training and employment opportunities for local youth.
The meeting was attended virtually by GM DIC, AD Employment, AD Tourism Gulmarg, CEOs/EOs of Municipal Councils, DMO Bandipora, Executive Engineers of PWD, PHE and PDD, BDOs, Nodal Officer KVIB, DPM NRLM, officers from Excise and Sales Tax departments and DNO JKEDI, besides other concerned officials.
