• Directs weekly monitoring of seasonal education centres; stresses timely completion of projects

RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the implementation and progress of the SAMAGRA Shiksha and PM POSHAN schemes in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the facilities available in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) and took stock of the functioning of seasonal education centres established in upper and remote areas during the summer season to ensure uninterrupted education for children. Emphasising regular monitoring, he directed the concerned officers to submit weekly reports on the activities and functioning of these centres.

The meeting also reviewed the physical and financial progress of works being executed under SAMAGRA Shiksha. The Deputy Commissioner instructed the executing agencies to ensure timely completion of all ongoing projects while maintaining prescribed quality standards. He directed officers to closely monitor progress and resolve bottlenecks without delay.

A detailed review of the human resource position under SAMAGRA Shiksha was also conducted. Discussions focused on the availability of teaching and non-teaching staff, measures to strengthen educational institutions and the enrolment status in both government and private schools.

Reiterating the district administration's commitment to improving the education sector, the Deputy Commissioner called for close coordination among all stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of educational schemes and timely achievement of the intended outcomes.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Malik Zada Sheraz Ul Haq, ADC Ramkesh Sharma, ADC Dil Mir, ADC Pritam Lal Thapa, SDM Abid Hussain Shah, CPO Maqsood Ahmed, SE PWD (R&B) Manzoor Ahmed, Chief Education Officer and other concerned officers.
