The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

RAMBAN: The State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI RSETI) Ramban successfully concluded the Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) under the Jammu & Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Program (JKREGP) today. A batch of 10 aspiring entrepreneurs completed the training aimed at equipping them with essential entrepreneurial skills to establish and sustain their businesses.

At the valedictory session, Director SBI RSETI S Harvinder Singh, awarded certificates of completion to the trainees and encouraged them to take full advantage of the skills acquired during the program. Speaking at the event, he said, “This training is a crucial step in empowering rural entrepreneurs. We are committed to providing skill-based training and facilitating financial support through government schemes like JKREGP to help trainees turn their business ideas into reality.”

The Entrepreneurship Development Program focused on business planning, financial management, market strategies, and legal formalities, ensuring that the participants are well-prepared to launch their enterprises. The initiative aligns with the government's vision of promoting self-employment and rural economic growth.
