PULWAMA: A Mega Tiranga Rally was organised today at Awantipora as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign–2026, being observed in integration with the third phase of the commemoration of 150 years of the National Song “Vande Mataram.”
The rally commenced from the historic Awanti Swami Temple, with participants carrying the Tricolour, displaying their dedication to the values of unity, patriotism and national pride. Despite heavy showers, the rally witnessed enthusiastic participation, reflecting the spirit of public engagement and commitment towards the campaign.
The rally was attended by SSP Awantipora Sajad Ahmad Shah, ADC Awantipora, Mushtaq Ahmad Lone; Commandant CRPF 110 Bn, district officers and officials from the Police, defence forces and civil administration. The rally also witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, youth and civil society.
The participants marched through Awantipora carrying the Tricolour, creating a vibrant patriotic atmosphere and spreading the message of national unity and pride among the people.
The event formed part of the district-wide calendar of activities being organised under Har Ghar Tiranga–2026, aimed at encouraging widespread public participation and taking the message of patriotism, unity and national pride to every household.
Besides, earlier in the day, Pulwama participated virtually in the UT-level Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign–2026 programme led by the Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Shri Manoj Sinha. The programme was attended by Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom; SSP Pulwama, Tanushree and District and Sectoral Officers.
